We just arrived home from Texas A&M after Dior’s CT scan of his chest and abdomen, and for the first time in a while, we have GOOD news — nothing was found, meaning the cancer has not spread. This gives Dior a real fighting chance, but now we’re racing against the clock to get him into surgery so we can move forward with treatment.
Both Texas A&M and Dr. Snyder at BluePearl are willing to help us move forward with ELIAS Immunotherapy, but we have to decide as soon as possible. The surgeon we choose will need to complete a 45-minute Zoom certification to make sure the ELIAS protocols are followed correctly, and they’re able to collect the specimen needed to create Dior’s personalized vaccine.
Here’s the financial breakdown we’re currently facing:
Amputation Surgery: $7,000
Chemotherapy (4 rounds): $1,000 per treatment ($4,000 total)
ELIAS Immunotherapy: $9,800
We were refunded $608.57 back to Brandon’s Care Credit (after paying for the CT yesterday), but as you can imagine, this barely puts a dent in what we need to move forward.
The team at Texas A&M, including Dr. Black-Ocken and Caroline, our amazing 4th-year vet student, had nothing but incredible things to say about Dior. They were amazed at how happy, strong, and full of life he still is — and they truly believe he has a fighting chance. That fills me with so much hope, but we can’t do this without help.

Dior has been part of our family since he was 12 weeks old, and our family just wouldn’t be complete without him.
